MEDEK MEDEK President Visits Our University for Accreditation: Certificate Presentation for Our Accredited Programmes

The Rector of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK), Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, visited the Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, at his office.

During the visit, which took place at the Rector's office, the Vice-Rectors, Rector's Advisors and the Secretary General were also present. The meeting addressed inter-university cooperation, quality assurance processes and the importance of accreditation in higher education.

Certificate Presentation for the Culinary Arts & Tourism and Hotel Management Programmes at our Accredited Vocational School's Hotel, Restaurant and Catering Services Department

Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık and our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz presented the accreditation certificates for our programmes to our Director Dr. Lecturer Bekir Doğan and our Deputy Director Lecturer Kemal Ergün.

During the visit, Prof. Dr. Sarıbıyık expressed his satisfaction at presenting the certificates for the accreditation process carried out for our 15 programmes accredited by MEDEK within our university. He emphasised that the accreditation success is a concrete indicator of the quality of education and teaching at our university.

Congratulatory and Evaluation Meeting in the Senate Hall

As part of the visit programme, a meeting was held in the Senate Hall of the Rectorate. The meeting was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz, along with the Vice-Rectors, Rector's Advisors, the Secretary General, and relevant academic staff. Prof. Dr. Sarıbıyık conveyed his congratulations on the accredited programmes, noting that this success represents an important achievement in terms of sustainable quality.

Rector Yılmaz: ‘A Result of Our Quality-Focused Approach’

Speaking at the meeting, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz emphasised that accreditation processes are an important part of the university's institutional vision and made the following assessment: "Previously, 10 of our programmes had been accredited. We are very pleased that this number has now risen to 25. In addition to programme accreditations, the fact that our university has institutional accreditation is a clear demonstration of the importance we attach to quality assurance. We are resolutely continuing our work with a sustainable quality approach in education and training."

Success Celebrated with Cake Cutting

Following the meeting, the academic and administrative staff who contributed to the accreditation process were thanked, and the success achieved was celebrated with cake cutting. The programme, which took place in a warm atmosphere, concluded with a commemorative photo session.
