As part of its efforts to create a healthy and safe learning environment, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University’s Tokat Vocational School held a meeting of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Committee on 27 April 2026.
The meeting, chaired by our Director, Dr Bekir DOĞAN, was attended by the Deputy Directors of the Vocational School, Dr Bilal Okan İçmez and Lecturer Kemal Ergün, and the Secretary of the Vocational School, Ümit Çukurçayır.
Our Assistant OSH Coordinator Engin Karaarslan and our Occupational Safety Specialist, Lecturer Dr Samet Tosun, provided technical briefings to the school management.
Safe Campus Objective:
During the meeting, the OSH activities carried out within the college were discussed in detail. The following topics stood out on the agenda:
Evaluation of the college’s current risk assessments,
Initiatives to raise OSH awareness among academic/administrative staff and students,
Preventive measures and improvement processes required within the building.
In his address at the meeting, our Director, Dr Bekir DOĞAN, highlighted the importance of fostering an OSH culture across the institution and stated that efforts would be continued with determination in collaboration with the Coordination Unit.
The meeting concluded with the clarification of the activity schedule planned for the coming period, following the consideration of the committee members’ views and suggestions.
