A training session on ‘Mental Health and Psychological Support in University Life’ was held for students at our Vocational School

Organised by the Directorate of the Centre for Guidance and Psychological Counselling Practice and Research, this event aims to raise awareness among students at our Vocational School regarding various areas of concern, introduce the mental health services available at our University, a training session entitled ‘Mental Health and Psychological Support in University Life’ was delivered by Psychologist Çağla Çelik on Thursday, 30 April 2026 at 1.30 pm in the Şehit Ömer Halis Demir Conference Hall.

Course Content:

  • Mental Health Awareness: Recognising the symptoms of conditions such as stress, anxiety and depression.
  • Psychological Resilience: Skills for coping with difficulties, problem-solving and adapting.
  • Communication and Social Support: Building healthy relationships with friends, family and within the academic environment.
  • Time and Stress Management: Balancing academic responsibilities.
  • Crisis Intervention and First Aid: Receiving appropriate guidance and professional support during psychological crises.
