Flight tests of the drone project, developed in collaboration between our students from the Electronics Technology Programme at Tokat Vocational School and the Smart Technologies and Innovation Club, have been successfully carried out in adverse weather conditions.

Under the supervision of Project Coordinator Dr Ömer Önal and College Secretary Ümit Çukurçayır, these tests—carried out with students from the club and the programme—assessed the system’s performance under challenging environmental conditions; in particular, its flight capability in windy and rainy conditions was analysed. The primary aim of the project is to ensure that, in the event of an emergency, the location of the person in need is identified quickly and accurately in response to an alert, thereby enabling the effective delivery of necessary assistance. The system is intended to contribute to disaster and emergency management processes by reducing response times and playing a life-saving role.

We congratulate our students on this innovative and socially beneficial work and extend our thanks to all participants who contributed to the project.
