Our Rector, Prof. Dr Fatih Yılmaz, received staff from the TOGÜ Advanced Recycling and Upcycling Workshop in his office, in recognition of their contribution to strengthening the culture of sustainability at our University. During the visit, certificates of appreciation were presented to Ümit Çukurçayır, Secretary of our Vocational School, and technician Kubilay Polat, in recognition of their dedicated work.
Resources Are Being Recycled Back into the Economy
Our Rector, Prof. Dr Fatih Yılmaz, noted that the work carried out by the staff of the Advanced Recycling and Reuse Workshop, which makes a significant contribution to the effective and efficient use of the University’s resources, serves as an exemplary model.
At the TOGÜ Advanced Recycling and Reuse Workshop, fixed assets used within the University are carefully assessed before being scrapped and undergo maintenance, repair and refurbishment processes. Within this framework, furniture, computer equipment, projectors and various machines and equipment are restored to working order, thereby ensuring the efficient use of public resources whilst also contributing to a sustainable environmental approach.
