A Meeting of the TOBB Protocol Executive Committee Was Held At TOGÜ As Part of the University-İndustry Collaboration İnitiative

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University (TOGÜ) remains committed to continuing its university-industry collaboration initiatives, which will contribute to regional development. In this context, a Protocol Implementation Committee Meeting was held following the signing of a previous cooperation protocol.

The meeting was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr Fatih Yılmaz; our Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr Rasim Koçyiğit; our Secretary-General, Prof. Dr Muhittin Demiray; our Deputy Secretary-General, Talip Keskin; representatives from our University’s vocational colleges in Erbaa, Niksar, Almus, Turhal and Zile Vocational Colleges, as well as, representing our Vocational College, our Director Dr Bekir Doğan and Deputy Director Lecturer Kemal Ergün.

In addition, representatives from the Erbaa, Niksar, Tokat, Turhal and Zile Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as the Tokat and Zile Commodity Exchanges, also attended the meeting and contributed to the collaboration processes.

During the meeting, whilst the work to be carried out under the protocol was reviewed, views were exchanged on developing cooperation between the University and industrial organisations.

Joint project development, R&D activities, opportunities for practical training, academic support mechanisms tailored to the sector’s needs, and new partnerships that would contribute to the region’s development were discussed.

The meeting assessed the coordination of activities to be carried out in accordance with the protocol, joint initiatives to be developed in line with the sector’s expectations, and the more effective transfer of the University’s expertise to industry.

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University continues its efforts to develop innovative projects, train qualified human resources and support regional development by bringing together its academic strength in the fields of education, research and practice with the industry.
