Orientation activities are continuing at our Tokat Vocational College, organised to ensure that our new students are better prepared for university life and their professional futures.

As part of the orientation programme, our Deputy Director, Dr Bilal Okan İÇMEZ, provided our students with a comprehensive briefing on the 3+1 Education Model.

The presentation covered the functioning of the 3+1 Education Model – which enables students to apply the theoretical knowledge they acquire in the classroom to a real-world working environment – and the contributions it makes to professional development. It was emphasised to our students that their university years are not merely about lectures and exams; gaining professional experience, understanding the needs of the sector and preparing for working life are also important parts of their education.

Later in the programme, information was shared with our students regarding the sector’s current needs, the expectations of the business world, and the key knowledge and skills required in professional life. The aim was to enable our students to relate their education to the realities of the sector from their very first years and to shape their career goals more consciously.

As Tokat Vocational College, our aim is not merely to produce graduates, but to nurture individuals who are knowledgeable in their profession, understand the sector’s expectations, possess practical experience and are ready for the world of work.
