Dr Abdullah Aldemir, a lecturer at our University’s Faculty of Education, organised a seminar for our first-year students entitled ‘Digital Minimalism: Setting Healthy Boundaries with Technology’.
The seminar addressed the role of digital technologies in daily life and educational processes, habits regarding technology use, the effective management of screen time, and the importance of establishing healthy boundaries with the digital world.
The seminar, which attracted keen interest from the students, included discussions on the effects of conscious and balanced technology use on personal life, academic achievement and social relationships. Furthermore, various recommendations were shared to help students use digital tools more effectively.
The programme concluded after the students’ questions had been answered.
