1) How will the lessons be held during the pandemic?

In accordance with the Education Commission, it was decided that the lessons should be done online over UZEM during the pandemic. First of all, you have to login to the courses you have taken with your username and password to the UZEM portal and follow the courses.
2) When will the courses start, what are the midterm, final and make-up dates?

Each semester at our university is 14 weeks and is published in the academic calendar beforehand. For the 2020-2021 academic year, classes will start on Monday, October 5, 2020. You can check the academic calendar for other dates.

3) Will there be lessons in the first week?

The first week will be the orientation (adaptation) week. In the first week, the lecturer of the course will teach our university, the course and topics, exams, etc. and in the form of answers to your questions.

4) Are there any absences during the pandemic?

Since the courses will be with distance education via UZEM, attendance and absenteeism will not be considered.

5) I live outside of Tokat Province. Do I need to come to Tokat for the procedures related to my studentship (freezing registration, exemption, adjustment, excuse course registration etc.)?

You don't need to come to Tokat. You can add your petition (take a photo) and send it to tmyo@gop.edu.tr.
6) I registered to the university, what else should I do?

After enrolling in the university, you must register for courses by logging in with your username and password through OBS (student information system) every semester during your entire education time on the dates in the academic calendar. You can get support from your academic advisor about the difficulties you may encounter during the course registration process.

7) I forgot to register for a course, what should I do?

You can click the forms link on tmyo.gop.edu.tr website and fill in your Mazaret Course Registration petition and submit it to the department secretary. If you are outside the city, you can send it to tmyo@gop.edu.tr via e-mail.

8) I forgot my OBS password, what should I do?

You can get your password by clicking the I forgot my password link on the OBS page and following the necessary steps. If you could not get it despite all your efforts, apply to the Rectorate Student Affairs Office.

9) I registered to the university, but can I take a break from my education due to various reasons (family reasons, financial and moral problems etc.)

You can freeze the record. To freeze registration, you can click the forms link on tmyo.gop.edu.tr website and fill in the sample petition for freezing registration. If you are outside the city, you can send it to tmyo@gop.edu.tr via e-mail.

10) I graduated from a university before. Can I be exempted from the courses I have already taken while enrolling in a course?

You can submit the courses you want to be exempted from to the department secretary by clicking the forms link on the tmyo.gop.edu.tr website and filling out your exemption petition. If you are outside the city, you can send it to tmyo@gop.edu.tr via e-mail.

11) Who is my academic advisor?

Each student has an academic advisor. The advisor helps the student about the courses to be chosen, supports the solution of the problems experienced by the student, university legislation, etc. It gives information about the subjects.

12) Who should I contact when I have problems with the course schedule or courses?

You can apply to your academic advisor.

13) How can I find out who my academic advisor is and how can I reach my academic advisor?

You can see your academic advisor when you log into the student information system.

14) What is Student Information System (OBS)?

The student information system is a system in which the student's personal information as well as academic information concerning the student (such as the courses taken, lecture notes) are included. You can access the student information system at https://obs.gop.edu.tr/ or https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.prolizyazilim.mobil&hl=tr for IOS phones: htpps://apps.apple.com/tr/app/proliz-mobil/id1377651655?l=tr by downloading the mobile application. Any future announcements to you are made through OBS and your registered communication channels. If you change your address, e-mail or phone number, do not forget to update it from the system.

15) How is the course passing system?

At least two exams are held in a semester in theoretical courses. The first one of these exams is called "midterm exam (midterm)" and the second one is called "final exam (final)". The success grade of a course is calculated by adding 40% of the midterm exam and 60% of the end-of-term evaluation. Courses are scored over 100 and the passing grade is 60. 16) What is the resit exam?

It is the exam opened for the courses that are unsuccessful in the end of term or year-end exam. The grade obtained in the make-up exam replaces the final exam (final) grade in the calculation of the final grade.

Library: Our library's resources and services continue to diversify every year. Continuing Education Research and Application Center (TOGÜSEM): A certificate program, course or To organize short and long term education and training programs in seminar style. All students studying at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University can apply to the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Application and Research Center (PDRMER) free of charge.
